Campaigns

There are ad campaigns.  There are political campaigns.  Neither leave the sustained, deep, and sticky impact of what we have come to call cultural campaigns.  They utilize participatory design as a way to engage communities in co-shaping their own future.  A cultural campaign is an intentional rhythm of social design in which an ecosystem of storytelling, experiences, training, alliance building, strategic planning, scenario visualization, and crowd co-authorship - yields a momentum that is more powerful than any single intervention alone.  Design has the power to move public imagination.

Organizational Transformation

There is frequently a moment that an organization finds itself.  When it is exploring a new product or service.  When it is entering a new market or engaging a new audience.  When its value proposition is being re-visited within a competitive landscape.  When it is re-imagining its business model a decade into the future.  We immerse ourselves inside organizations preparing for and executing massive change.  Our design team becomes an in-house special ops force for architecting, navigating, and accelerating a transformation agenda.  We simultaneously demonstrate solutions to complex challenges while building capacity of an organization by designing the culture itself.

The heartbeat of Epic Decade this signature methodology convenes people around ideas bigger than themselves.  More than a retreat or a conference - these highly exclusive gatherings merge the rigor of research + development with the most astoundingly curated experience design.  They are VIP hack-a-thons where thought leaders and business titans challenge each other and take on the Epic Challenges of our time.  Named after the historic French Salons in which cultural leaders would discuss the issues of the day - IDEAS Salons have been attended by executives from Apple, Google, GE, the Department of Defense, Disney Imagineering, Mercedes Benz, IBM, Oprah Winfrey Network, as well as Nobel Prize winners and Senators.
